Cash in Serbia?!?
Rather naively, I tried to obtain some Serbian Dinar in the UK as I'm passing through Serbia over the summer. I can't seem to get these anywhere!
Obviously I could take Euros and change there, but I read somewhere that I could also use Euros to pay; is this true? I'm only there for a short time (part of a larger trip), but I'd like to eat / pay for fuel with cash if I can. ?c? |
You will be fine with Euros.

Even better - just use your home ATM card to fetch Serbian currency from an ATM in Serbia.
In this day and age, there is no need at all to obtain banknotes for your destination prior to arriving - every country in the world except perhaps North Korea and Sudan (those due to US sanctions) has ATMs that are connected to various networks that link up with your home bank. Michael |
As Serbian I can for sure let you know that you are very welcome with Euros
as they can be exchanged any time and almost any place...welcome to Serbia.:thumbup1: |
Credit card works in gas stations fine. Smaller shops and restaurants was a problem. That's 3 days old news :thumbup1:
