Driving my 4x4 in Norway
Hello,
Do I need any additional, or special insurance. I have fully comprehensive insurance, here in the UK. What if my tax disc expires, or my MOT expires while I am in Norway. What do I do.? |
As I understand it, many car insurance policies do cover for foreign travel (including Norway) for up to 90 days - BUT remember to check the details of your policy!!!
Officially, your insurance is dependant on current/valid MOT and road tax - you could take the risk of everything going ok - but being the boring old soul that I am - I'd get the MOT done before I went - and probably do the tax on-line whilst I was away |
Quote:
MOT and tax: check previous posts about this - necessary to play carefully with the DVLA, who will tell you that you have exported your vehicle if you go over 1 year away - never, ever talk to them on the phone - do it online. |
