Europe, end of march/start April
Hi,
I'm thinking about combining a few days of skiing I have booked in Chamonix with a mini tour in France/Germany in the days before. The skiing is from the 5th to the 9th April, So I guess the tour would be the first few days of April. I've ridden through North Europe in Feb before and that was bloody miserable. What's it like start of April? Enjoyable? Or should I just fly to ski and forget the idea of riding down by circuitous roads? Thanks Matt :) |
I reckon it will be fine, but I'm not a weatherman.

Nothing to do with the weather, but I was checking on that week for something else, and I noticed that it is the first week of BST - I guess it is the same across the rest of Europe because we are supposed to be harmonised, on that at least.

Hi Matt Cartney,
It will be cold man. If you like cold weather and feeling frozen a bit, go ahead. Othervise just take a flight. As I don't have too much weight and cold resistant body, I prefer to fly...:D |
+1
I was going to ride down to Provence at the begining of March and my French friends have all told me I'm nuts (nothing new there then!), it'll be freezing. One guy said either fly down and hire a bike, put in the back of my van, or go in June....:Beach: |
