French Campsites
 

Hi all,
Me & her in doors want to get away for a few days camping not got any big plans only got 4 days at most thought of france camping prefeerably near the belgum border so we could pop over, for a nose, any one know of any sites in the area Dunkirk/Belgium area

When we were there a few years ago there was a good municipal campsite to the north of Dunkirk against the coast. I dont think you'll have a problem in July - might be full in August though if you don't pre-book.

I think it's this one. It looks like a private site now.

We often pop over for the weekend. I would recommend going the other way to Marcanterra via Hesdin. There is a very good french market in the town of Rue 'every' saturday morning with little cafe bars , nature reserve as well as some fantastic little villages. We stay at a camsite not far from Rue and Marcanterra. We usualy by our food from the market for the weekend. Also nice little fishing village with fishermen selling there catch at Port de Somme.
