In summer 2003 I travelled with my BMW GS 1100 across Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

I don't know if my reply is too late for you, but I am living in georgia (BMW R1150GS AdV and Ducati Multistrada) and I can give you advice and assistance as well as putting you in touch with the Georgian bikers.
