Yes all these distances are possible. Just head for the Alps and enjoy. I'd like to bring your attention to one particular place in the Dolomites of Italy of course. It's called Motorcycle Restoraunte. A family retaurant run by Maurizio. These guys and girls are passionate beyond belief about motorcycling. Just look up Pompone, il club della moto italiana: Aprilia, Ducati, Laverda, MV Agusta and check out the web site. They do of course have a bent towards Italian machinery, but don't let that dissuade you, If you ride something else. I visited here a number of ocassions in the early 2000's, principally to catch up with my good friend John from Australia, who has been a chef here now for well over 10 years. But also to take in the supurb motorcycling atmosphere and not forgetting the fantastic food. Whilst here nearly anyone can rock up. Just check out the photos on the wall, Foggy, Agostini and many others that I can't recall at this point in time. It's about halfway between Trento and Venice. Once in Pasagno, just ask the locals where to find Motorcyle restaurante in Valle San Liberale. They all know where it is. In the area there are a lot of motorcyle points of interest. Many discount shops. Great motorcycle roads. The Aprilia factory is down the road on the way to Venice. The Guzzi factory is on the western shores of Lake Como. You could go over the Stelvio pass getting there, ( unbelievable ). I rode back from the restaurant, 2 hours from Venice to Leeds in 24 hours on two ocassions. So it is doable and that was on a 1978 Mk 1 Moto Guzzi Le Mans. About as comfortable as riding a ironing board, but boy does it put a grin on your face when going through the Alps. The time of year you are going is just about perfect too. Low tourist season, but good weather and open passes. Just go and enjoy,
Cheers, Graeme.
