How many countries in 24hrs challenge?
Anyone ever heard of a challenge to ride in as many countries as possible in 24hrs?
my uncle has said about it a few itmes, we're going to look at doing it at somepoint, probably at the end of the summer. but is it an official challenge or has anyone ever done it officially unofficially? Cheers IanD |

uk-france-switzerland-italy in 2006.
depends on the size of the country, and road conditions i guess. |

Belgium, Luxemourg, France, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Not as hard core as it sounds. It's only about 550 miles. ; 0:scooter: |
Theoretical max number of countries you could go through in 24 hours
If you drove for 22 hours in a day @ ave of 40mph that’s 880 miles. You could therefore make it from UK, if you let on Euro tunnel just before midnight across France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and possibly Hungary. That’s 11 countries. If you really pushed on you could possibly add Serbia and Romania - making it 13 - unlucky for some. |
The Dutchman Markus Kingsma did 15 countries in 24h.
Look at there website reismotor.nl |
Your best chance is probably going to be starting in something like South East Europe rather than riding out to it. You have a greater density although quality of roads may impact.

Wee bit hard for those of starting off down under here. :oops2:

It does beggar the question, why? and please don't say "because it's there." Mallory has already used that. Ride safe.:confused1:
