Mechanic for engine rewbuild needed in North East Spain..
 

As the title says, I may be looking for a top end rebuild in north east Spain between Perpignon and Barcelona. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop...

The bike is a DRZ and would need to be top spec desert worthy by September.

Out last night......you.......surely not! Thanks for the enquries as ever.....Chris is still mid Pyrenees, if you need to contact him his phone is the best bet. I´m now stranded in Empuria Brava until my plane on Sun....Alet its not......Missing the place already (not sure my liver could have taken much more of the Rose´treatment though, especially with me being such a lightweight)!

Anyway, shouldnt you be working? Oh I forgot, you probably are ;-)

Cheers Jens! Can you tell me a little more about your friend? What kind of work does he normally do? Please dont think I am being disrespectful, but I do a lot of solo remote desert miles and I have yet to break down there because I am really fussy about who works on my bikes when I dont, great news to have a personal recommendation though. They are the only type that matters! Do you know if he does wheel rebuilds and tyres? My spanish isnt that good, but I have a friend that can call him and talk to him for me after the weekend.

Jens might have the edge there, the BCN friends aren't bike people but would know who to ask ... I'll keep asking whilst you have a go at Jens' one

Alet's not that far, Tour de France on Sunday - we'll have a Catalan flag flying on TV I suspect!

That is definately the problem with your place, even staying in is deadly! Cheers for the invite (AGAIN!!), if my bike was working I´d head over for a night or two, but its not........so it seems as I if it may be a few weeks before we head back over assuming all goes well financially. I´ll mail you early next week as we agreed and tell you how the mechanic issue has gone and also to discuss other matters....
