Moving to Berlin....with G/S
...and just wondering if there's anyone who might be able to lend us a parking space for a couple of days, just while we're looking for a Room/Flat...and depending on where we'll be staying during those days. (my mind would be more at ease knowing that the bike isn't just parked on the street somewhere, if there's no other possibility.)
Come to think of it...if there's anyone who's going travelling and feels like sub-letting...(Zwischenvermieten?) for a few weeks, that would also be really cool. A word of introduction, my name is Antonio, I'm currently in Italy, but am originallyfrom Chile, travelling with my better half who is from Kazakhstan. Looking forward to tasting some local beer with any Berliners who are still around during august. We should be arriving around the end of this week, PMs are most welcome! Saludos, Antonio. |
well... have read your older enquiry mail a few days ago... hmm I'm not in Berlin for a while, so it's a bit tricky, my own flat is already rented out.
Right.. trying to help you out, I did talk to my sister in Berlin, who lives in the back yard in a small flat, she "may" are willing to work some thing out, need to give here a day or two to think about it, speaks good English as well.... ;) well she was mention that you both may could be in here flat while she takes care about a friends flat who is on holiday. If that don't work out, she may be able to find some thing else for you or at least guiding you to what ever comes up, she know a lot of people in the area.. I used to live in the same house and had my bike there too for three years, no problems for safety, working on the bike is possible if not making a mass.. a few bike shops are in walking distance as well, it can be a bit tricky some times to get straight access to the double front door by bike, you have to drive along the pavement regarding tight parking of cars if needed, every one dose it, but the place it is in walking distance to the Alexanderplatz right in the centre of Berlin on (Immanuelkirchstrasse / Prenzlauer Berg). well there is an other place in Berlin, it's a Hostel with a back yard, not far from the "Schoeneberger Rathaus", a guy from Texas who crossed Russia from Vlad. to Berlin on his KLR had his brake there before going back to the US. the Hostel is in (Belzigerstrasse, right next to the Schoeneberger Rathaus at Kennedy Platz) forgot the name of the hostel but they have Internet and the lot. definitely a good choice for a few days. Anyway if you want to call my sister.. give her a shout under 0049-(0)30-xxxxx (hope you got the no.by now) if you know some thing about Tango and such.. she will melt away... ;) good luck spooky |

the location of the hostel is near the Belzigerstrasse it's actually located in the "Meininger Strasse 10" :smartass: here is the correct address of the hostel !!! hostel at / Meininger Strasse 10 / near Schoeneberger Rathaus / Berlin with back yard parking !!! anyway if you plan to travel further west after you left Berlin at some stage, you are welcome at the place I'm for now, right in the country side near Wuppertal / Duesseldorf right next to the well know Neanderthal not that far away from the Dutch border. If you need to work on your bike again I can offer you a big garage with basic workshop, you could camp in the Garden or stay in a room with shower for free for a few days if you want and relax. spooky |
Ooops..!
Sorry Spooky, I'm always very lazy using internet while I'm travelling, so it's very rude of me to answer so late... You'll have a PM in a few minutes..! Muchas gracias....for your help! A. |
