Need some bike trip ideas to Celebrate 50th!
 

Hi guys & Gals

My bother in Law & I will be 50 in 2008 & we want to celebrate with a bike trip. We both ride cruisers & have been round the Baltics & the Med & various other bike trips together.

One idea is to go to the top of Norway then Sweden, Finland, Russia etc. I would like to match it with 50 something, towns, days etc & we want to raise money for the http://www.nabd.org.uk.

As we both ride road bikes we can't really go off road, so any imput from other bikers would be greatly appreciated.

speedmaster58, when are you going to ride? I could give you some ideas where to ride around S-Pepersburg and Moscow. We have many off-road trails.

It will probably be between June, July & August 2008. & it would be nice to do St Petersburg & Moscow but we are both on Cruisers, 1 Triumph Rocket & 1 BMW cruiser so I don't think we will be doing too many off road trails unless we get lost. lol

How about doing something a little different and coming over and checking out our Maidstone.

That would be Maidstone, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Good paved roads and plenty of beer.

The U.S.A. is made up of 50 states.If you ride to Alaska you get Canada as a bounous.Fly to Hawaii and rent Harleys. Done and happy and broke.

Sounds a bit cold all that northern european stuff,get yourselves a dual purpose bike and do the whole of South America,starting in Colombia a place all 50 year olds need to visit!!!!!!!!!

If you take the main roads, most of them are in a good conditions, we will oraganise motorcycles tours around russia next year, so, I will always have information about real situation on road.

Thanks for that, let me know the details of your tours when you are up and running as I have a few friends who would be interested in them.
