Off road through France
 

Hi I was once told that you could ride from the north to the south of France off road on green lanes. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Also if it is possible, where can I to get maps that show the routs.

what do you mean by green roads?
if you mean the green marked roads on the michelin maps, i would aggree.
on the other hand it is not allowed in france anymore to ride into the forests, even if there is no forbiden sign. it is a general law in the meantime.

i don t know about this, crossing all the way off road.

there s more and more environmental sensibility here in france.
so off roaders (car, bike) have less and less free allowed space.
but maybe it s possible in remote areas.
