Sweden - > Italy trip tips
I was planning on doing my first european trip this summer. Bought my first bike last year http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif Going Sweden -> Denmark -> Germany -> Switzerland -> Italy ( Tuscany ) -> France -> Belgium -> Netherlands -> Germany -> Denmark -> Sweden.
Anyone got any tips on where to stay and what to see on my way. Only planning a 3-4 weeks for this. I guess i'm gonna stop at the Giger museum and maybe se the french riviera http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/wink.gif ------------------ Even alcohol can bend the room. |

If not, I suggest you avoid the Riviera like the plague and head for the mountains instead. Places to stay: http://www.relais-motard-fontgaillarde.com (South of the Col d'Allos) L'Abbaye de Valcroissant, just South of Die. Map: http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichel...1424&x=24&y=11 Gîte de Toureves, Genolhac, map: http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichel...oductId=&x=0&y =0 (the location isn't exact, it's on the right side of the road as you drive up the mountain.) ------------------ Salut from Southern France, the bikers' paradise, Peter. |
Ok, maybe i'll avoid the riviera then. I guess i'm gonna see the brand new big bridge in france. Looks like it has got some nice views http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/wink.gif

beddhist is right about the traffic jams but visiting Monaco and Nice and driving the (busy) coast road was a nice experience for me anyhow so if you're not afraid of traffic jams just try it and drive like the French (complete madness but fun ;-)
