Touring Spain in 4x4 - forest fire limitations?
 

Hi all,

I was browsing a few Spanish web sites and I think I read that there is some limitations on where you can go with a vehicle because of the problems with forest fires? (My Spanish is not so good..).

Does anyone know about this?

I'm travelling along the Pyrenees followed by the Picos De Europa.

Definitely yep! . One is no longer allowed to drive *any* kind of motor vehicle into forests ("RESERVA FORESTAL" in Spanish)

However.. most wilderness is not "reserva forestal" , so for all practical purposses Its ok to drive wherever you want provided Its not really a deep-thick forest.
Also , I don't think that the autorities would fine a foreigner for that .(they dont' fine us -locals neither. Just tell to go away the forest .. and that is ).

Just be sensible wherever you decide to camp/light a fire.
