Turkey: Is it possible to get a entry visa at the border?

Maybe this question has already been answered but I could not find any information about it.
I'm planing to enter Turkey from Georgia (Sarpi) as I understand it is possible to get a green card at the border but what about a transit or normal visa?

Thanks,
Joe

And we are meant to guess what passport you have?

If you are German (it says you live in Munich) you don't need a visa at all, just your passport.

I cannot say for certain that you have to apply on-line now but it certainly made things easier when I entered a couple of years ago.

Indeed you can. All EU citizens can purchase a transit or normal visa to pass through Turkey at the borders.

Visa requirement

I've just entered and nobody told me nothing about the visa, is it not necessary anymore or am I in trouble?

Two people have posted official links saying you don't need a visa. You have entered the country without being asked for a visa. And you are still asking if you need a visa?

:oops2: you're absolutely right :innocent:

Update

Managed to get of Turkey but the officer at the border asked me several times for my visa, I answered no visa and he would go on looking at all pages of my passport then ask "evisa?" and this was at the Edirne crossing, I think the biggest one in the west.
At the end he shaked his head in disappointment but handed me my passport and let me go.

Had the same problem with an Australian passport after travelling in the EU for a month last year. In Dover they waved me through. When leaving Slovenia at the Croatian border they could not find a Shengen entry stamp. Discussed with his colleague then stamped and gave it back.
For Turkey, some countries are free, but for some passports there is a US$20 fee. You should have an entry stamp in your passport.
