UK to The Arctic Circle Sweden
 

Hi there,
I'm planning on a 3 week trip to the Arctic Circle in Sweden in July 2025. I was wondering what documentation is required. I'm a UK citizen and know there are some changes in UK citizens travelling across Europe next year.

I'm sort of lost as to where to start. Been to the post office to see about a green card etc and they just looked at me like I had 2 heads.

You don't need a Green Card in Europe.

By my understanding this is only required for vehicles registered outside the European Insurance Area (which the UK is still in thankfully) travelling in Europe.

And as an insurance certificate, this would come from your insurance company (who won't issue one) and not the Post Office, which may explain the reaction you got.

The Post Office can give you an IDP, but you don't need that either.
