Vatican - is it possible to get into it with the bike?

Is it possible to get into the Vatican by bike?
I know that Peter & Kay Forwood managed to do so years ago - but it was a close thing. Just with both tires on the area of the Vatican for a moment or something like that.

This thread is not about "does it make sence".
I just want to know, if it can be done.
How do I have to imagine the gates/entry?

Cheers

I assume that you mean the Vatican city, and not the vatican as in the inside of that big cathedral thing.

Security is kind of tight these days but I remember that the streets adjacent to st peters square are accessible by bike ; anything underneath the columns in the picture is already technically the territory of the vatican state, and I can see enough space to be able to ride in for the time it takes to snap a couple of pictures, before the police car up the road bothers to turn up to do something about it......( or most likely doesn't ).

Thanks for your helpful answere.
You are talking of a picture. Which one do you mean or was it meant in general meaning?

Sorry....link wasn't visible , I was talking about this picture :

It's a Google earth screenshot of Largo del colonnato, a Street that goes right around some of St Peter's square. The main pedestrian access is just a little bit further up and there's usually a police car there. come to think of it I'm about 88 % sure that if you ask them nicely they will let you put your wheels on the square and take some pictures....
