Hi all,

I just got the news, that Alexey Korovin (an Ukrainian motorcycle traveler) just died in Egypt. I have never met Alexey, but a friend in Russia showed me some of his travel videos.

Does anyone have more information how Alexey Korovin died?

Very sad news. RIP

On the HU Facebook group Artyom Liss reports Alexey's passing. He says it was malaria. He writes

Alexey Korovin, a rider, traveler and writer from my home town, Kharkiv in Ukraine, died in Egypt this morning. He has ridden around the world, and all over the world. His blog and his Facebook have been a great source of inspiration for many Russian-speaking adventure travelers.
This ride was going to be his last: he wanted to spend more time at home, - he thought it was time to quit the "on the road" lifestyle.
He succumbed to malaria in Dahab, Egypt.

Sorry to hear this, he was quite the traveller.
And especially sad when it's from something like malaria, which is preventable and treatable.

It's very sad news. It was great travaler.
