Ulrike Rodrigues - Mitey Miss
 

Some of you might remember Ulrike Rodrigues from Vancouver. She was not really an active member of this community but you may have met her at one of the Canwest events in Nakusp when she rode up on her Honda Cub.

Ulrike passed away in her sleep on Sunday due to an as of yet unknown neurological event at the age of 59. She was a great friend of mine whom I met on the way to Cuba for a cycling trip and we've been friends ever since.

Ulrike was a free spirit and had an extraordinarily full life before she left us way too early.

Uli, you were loved. Happy travels wherever you may go.

Thanks for letting us know Michelle, very sorry to hear, and for your loss. I remember her on the little 100cc Honda, truly inspirational to all.

I read this on the memorial site, hope its okay to share;

“Ulrike generously willed her apartment to Atira Women's Resource Society to be used as furnished housing, and her savings to create an endowment fund called Basic Needs + Mitey Deeds – a legacy fund to connect women and girls to shelter, support, and potential.“
