Hi Everyone,

First post for a long time.

Just purchased a Mercedes overland truck :D but having difficulties insuring it. The main problem seems to be the engine size (5958cc) which seems odd. Its registered as a camper. Can anyone suggest a company that does this type of vehicle, tried NFU but no joy.

I don't think anyone can answer this without knowing where you are.

Probably UK if this is correct
but even then nationality and place of residence is still required for sensible advice

I have read through some of the earlier threads on insurance and still contacting several insurers, most of whom seem out off by the engine size so still looking and waiting for two to come back.

My truck is insured through Staveley Head who are a broker.
