Parabolic Springs
 

Hi All,

Does anybody know where I might be able to source a set of parabolic springs for the front axle of a Mercedes 1617 NG?

All the usual places I know of don't have them anymore, they stopped making them and it looks like stocks have run out.

It looks like I will therefore have to switch back to multi leaf spring packs which thankfully are still available.

I suppose the alternative would be to try and get somebody to manufacture a set of parabolics for me - but would that be horribly expensive?

Any thoughts appreciated!

Actually, at least for regular 4x4s I don't believe getting leaves or coils made is that expensive, and you can specify them just as you like.

I made contact with a gentleman called Carl at Jones-Springs today Parabolic and Multi Leaf Springs Manufacturer - Leaf Spring specialist | Jones Springs

He seemed cautiously optimistic he might be able to source me a set via Germany, but if not that he should be able to make them in a week or so. No price given yet though! Will keep you updated.
