3 years RTW and 150000 km done
Hi there.
My name is Gionata Nencini, also visible in the link section. I've been riding around the world since 2005 on a used third hand Honda Transalp XL600V made in 1987. This poor little peace of rust, is sturting to do a lot of noises from the engine and loosing power and increasing fuel consuption. What should i check and fix? Where should i find a professional helper in NZ (where I am now)? How can i restore the engine without spending more money than the motorbike prize? Take good care. Yay Jonny Congratulations matey that's some mileage, I remember that bike it was black at the time with the smashed up side panels from Russia getting serviced in Bangkok near your birthday, that bike had Character and very big wheels.
Just in case you don't Remember it's Lee from the UK Thailand 2006, 250cc Honda Baja Broken Leg on the way to Phuket. Keep on racking up those miles, might bump into you in South America in 2009, if we both make it there in one piece more or less. |

Where are you at the moment? Nice to read you here! |
Hi, my name is Toby, I live in NZ. I don't know where you are now. I live about an hour north of Auckland, just out of a place called Warkworth.
I work one day a week for a bike shop and am doing a tech course to learn how to keep a bike on the road for my trip. The local bike shop may be able to assist you, I may be able to talk them into helping you out. My email is tobys_site@yahoo.com P.S. checked out your site a few months back - like your style! |

thanks for the offer. honda australia helped with free service in melbourne and i was thinking how to get in contact with honda blue wing auckland to ask those guys a bit of a help... |
I'd just go to the local honda dealer and broker a deal with them and get them to contact the local paper - free advertising for them, free bike fix for you!
