Born2BMild,
I was born in West Bridgeford. Forest fan.
Have you checked the head stock bearings, wheel bearings or checked for side play in the swing arm ? If you use a pressure washer to clean the bike the bearings will need re-packing with grease at least as the water can be forced into the bearing housing.
Check the frame for cracks, change the oil in the shocks and change the brake fluid.
If it aint broke don't fix it ???? There is a thing called preventive maintenance but if you don't check it you won't know until you are in the middle of nowhere and the bike fails. Faults can creep up on you without you being aware of them, at least get someone who knows what they are about to test ride your bike.
Cheers
