or should i continue my fruitless search for a used @twin legally in the usa? anyone no of any? or a new one already imported?

I just did a search at http://www.cycletrader.com and found a nice 93 model.

ALso, check the classifieds in the back of Cycle News. There are always interesting and rare bikes listed there.
