Airfilters for 02 Africa twin
Does anyone out there know how to make the Africa twin breath better? I have a new remas rear can but the airfilter is very restricting. Is there someone who makes a foam one? Thanks

A good solution is a K&N filter because it is easy to clean and should last a long time, but especially with a different exhaustsystem you should re-adjust your carburetor. Or you could just drill holes in the top of your airfilter-housing (not bigger as 40mm).

According to K&N they don't do a filter for the 2002 @. However the newly published Haynes manual says there have been no changes since 1996.
If there is anyone out there in SE England with an older O7 @ and a K&N filter it would be useful to compare it with the 02 model. ------------------ Steve Lee |
Hi,
I've been told the K&N filter for the RD07 ('93-95) does not fit the RD07A ('96-'02). The one for the RD07 is said to be a bit higher so the lid of the filterbox doesn't fit anymore. Jeroen [This message has been edited by Jeroen Krijnders (edited 25 November 2002).] |
According to the following link...
http://www.pdq1.co.uk/2002_kandn/honda_kn02_999.htm the filter for the 93-95 model is the same as to one for the 96-99 model (HA-0008). As there don't seem to have been any changes to the @ since 99 these should also fit later models. Steve |
I did the next: With a standar airfilter, I removed the paper and replace it with foam. Now it work as the K&N filter for cents.
