CB 750K Exhaust setup
 

I have a 79 CB750K with a four into one exhaust system. The standard for the bike is a four into four system.

I was trying to figure out what the differences might be in terms of performance between the two setups - if any?

This is one of those arguable ones. Theoretically, 4 into 1 is better for high performance, 4 into 4 for low and mid range. But that varies for a million different variables, not least is who made the exhaust system, state of tune of the bike etc.

In the end, whatever you have is fine. Differences will be minor. An aftermarket exhausts biggest improvement is usually less weight and cost when the original rusts out!
