Dominator luggage racks
 

Looking at buying a Dommie for a european trip this year and maybe something more adventurous down the road a bit.

I want to mount soft luggage panniers as I will be trying to keep the bike as light as possible. Does anyone have pics of racks or whatever they have made up to keep the bags off the exhaust and out of the wheel?

I'll be packing light but I want to to handle some non tarmac excursions.

I've just fitted Hepco & Becker pannier rails to my '88, ready for some aluminium panniers, but they would do just was well with soft luggage, I'd have thought.

Where did you get the exhausts and how mutch did they cost? and the side pannels are they standard or are they shorter (they look shorter)

Four of us are away next year across Russia/Mongolia and have all bought Dominators. We have made pannier racks and rear racks and also engine guards cum jerry-can carriers out of 3/4" seamless hydraulic tube. They seem very strong and reasonably light.
