domintor in the desert
hi i have just got a dommie and am preping the bike for turkey to egypt and maybee east africa. an anyone tell me fuel ecconamy in sand tyres that are good and any small things i should think about
cheers |
Mate, I don't know about the sand fuel economy as my sand riding has been limited. But off road here in Oz through some sand, bull dust, dirt & gravel I still get my average of 16km per litre @ 100-110 kmph.
ACERBIS do the larger tank for the Dommie. Ostensibly they advertise it as a 23 litre jobbie. But my black one has expanded over it's 18month life & now holds 26 litre. I paid DM450.00 (EUR225) for a new one. Cheers. Graeme |
thanks for that graeme

Definately recomend the Acerbis tank. I have ridden my Dommie from London to Penang where I am now and have a standard tank (16 litre). I wish I had the larger tank! I get about 130-150 miles before having to switch to reserve giving me the last 2 litres.
