It's been a great bike. 70mpg is hard to get at hwy speeds. More like 62-64 which is still good. Currently I'm stranded in Labrador city NL waiting on rear wheel bearings. After reading forums on the bike, this is a problem. I have 40,000 km on the bike, so not a lot. At least 10,000 of that on gravel & back roads. I recently installed stiffer Hyper Pro shock springs front & back. This has a made a big difference loaded up on back roads, not so much bottoming out. I also installed 1" front shock extensions, added a nice amount of ground clearence, which I found to be a problem.
