Looks like Messrs mc and bayonet should get a commision funded RTW from Honda :-) I enjoyed reading all of the technical argument made by mc...nice one bud, and bayonet made a valid point too. I thank you guys and all who have responded to this thread, all I gotta do now is find a AT and get on with planning the fiasco.

Further to this thread, I have made a point of recording my usage and mpg figures. Since I last filled up the tank i have covered a distance of 250 miles, the tank took 21 litres. This would appear to give me 53.57 mpg. I am truly amazed. This is covering all my normal riding ie: to work and back, Sunday rideout to Devils Bridge and general riding. With figures like this I might just contemplate my Thailand trip on the Pan.
