Standard TA Question
Would a COMPLETELY standard 1996 Transalp be able to manage a RTW going through these countries:
UK Holland Belgium Germany Czech Republic Slovakia Austria Hungary Slovenia Croatia Bosnia & Hezegovina Serbia & Montenegro Albania Macedonia Greece Turkey Russia Kazakhstan Russia Mongolia Russia South Korea USA Canada Alaska Canada USA UK We've had another guy join our RTW trip and he needs to know before he buys next weekend. Cheers Guys & Gals - I know you'll be a great help as always.... (I'm still gloating about the Beemer I just bought!:thumbup1: ) |
A general answer to your general question....yes.
|
I would have thought that a trusty Transalp would be a great bike for this kind of trip. As long as you don't expect it to perform like a motocross bike.
They are supremely comfortable & very reliable, with good fuel economy. My only reservations of these bikes is that they are a little heavy & there is some expensive plastic to break. |
Yes it would they are great bikes... but you still need luggage:rofl:,
|
Ive never owned one but Id say the TA was perfect for this and much better than many bikes.
If the plastic breaking is a worry well he can fit second hand stuff before leaving and replace it with the new stuff on return. |
Honda TransAlp
Just my little, bitty stuff:
I own a Honda TA, model 1991. Riding it since 2 years now and I am more than satisfied with it. Good gas milage, very easy to ride, and compared with my old Kawasaki KLE a little higher (good for my long legs!). I can only recommend the TA! |
