Swapping bodywork on an 89 XR600
 

How do all.

I've just bought an 89 XR600, a good runner with a full years UK MOT ticket.

The bike has been well used but all functions properly and, for the price, it was too good to turn down, as I have been after one for years.

So, with not much needing doing mechanically, I am turning my attention to the bodywork… sidepanels, front and rear fenders, tank etc.

I have always preferred the look of the 85/86 models and so it is a pretty straight forward question I am posing here.

Does the body work from the earlier models bolt on to the 89 frame or is there a lot of work to do to get them on?
