Transalp, Front sprocket problem
2 Attachment(s)
Hi there
I'm getting ready for a trip around Scandinavia and Northern Europe and I checked up on some things on my 95 TA. For a while, there has been a new sound/noise on my bike when I let go of the throttle and the engine is "braking" the bike. I have attached some photos of what it looks like. The ring I'm holding in my hand has been worn out so much that I can just pull the front sprocket way out of place. Does anyone know what has caused this and where I can find a new part to fix it? Ryan the Dane BTW a little happy story - I have been away from my bike in 5 months and when I got home, i just fired her up and took us for a spin. No work needed. Great bike! |
Hi Ryan, that piece holds your front sproket in place, because it's worn, the transmission shaft is sliding inside it making a hissing noise. You need to change front and back sprockets, to new, don't forget the new chain too.
Enjoy your trip, I wanted to head up to Scandi too this summer. Where you heading? ta-all-the-way |
