Wuyang Honda LY125
Hey everyone.
I just picked up a Wuyang Honda LY125, 2021. The guy I bought it from said he threw out the owners manual since it was in Chinese (I'm in North-Central Vietnam) and I'm trying to get some info on maintenance and best practices with this bike as I can't scour much from the internet that's in English. It's my understanding this bike is made in Guangzhou, with Honda parts (joint venture between Honda and the Chinese manufacturer). If anyone has info on an owners manual, or has ridden one of these before and can give some tips I'd appreciate it. Thanks! |
As you say, Wuyang is a Honda-local JV. A friend of mine had a Honda Innova and the Wuyang equivalent at the same time. They both used the same engine, but cycle parts were of very different quality - the Honda was good as you might expect but the Wuyang used poor materials and suffered badly from corrosion.
That being the case for other models I'd expect much of the LY125 to be shared with Honda models such as the CG125 and the same servicing requirements. |
Great, I thought the CG125 looked very similar. I'll try to find the owners manual of this and go from there.
Edit: I found a manual for the CG125 that looks pretty similar to my bikes specs. I'll take a deeper dive tomorrow and see what is the same, but at a general glance the setup/wiring is super similar. Thanks again! |
