XR400 and Michelin Desert Tyres...

I'm considering fitting Mich Deserts to my XR400 but concerned about the width of the rear tyre.
Michelin only make the rear in a 140 width, has anyone experience of fitting this tyre to an XR?
thanks
Kev

A mate has a 140 TKC 80 on his XR4, fits fine

...thanks Phil. Michelin have a strange way of measuring their tyre width; I had an AC10 rear in a 110 that actually measured 130!

Hello, I don't know if it helps but I've just tried a new Desert in a Yam. TTR 250, it fits with about 3/8" clearance each side, it does make a 4.60 bridgestone look small though!
