HUWA Australia Day Ride & BBQ
 

Let's make the HUWA community more than just an annual meet! Join us for a ride & BBQ on Australia Day. OverlanderAE will lead an easy road-ride through the Perth Hills via Kalamunda, Canning Dam & Jarrahdale. Otherwise, get some friends together, organise your own journey & post it on the HUWA Facebook group. Want to involve the family? You ride, but send them along in the car - what more could you want?! Exact BBQ location will be pot luck on the day :-)

When: Australia Day, Thursday January 26th
Ride Time: Meet at OverlanderAE* 8.30am for coffee - stands up at 9am
BBQ: starts around 11am at Serpentine Dam
Where: Serpentine Dam (https://www.watercorporation.com.au/...serpentine-dam)
What to bring: BBQ food, drinks, sunscreen, chairs & your travel yarns! OverlanderAE will provide sauces, oil, cooking implements & serviettes.

We'll have HU calendars for sale - only $25! CASH ONLY – LAST COPIES LEFT IN THE WORLD!

To build the HU community in WA, we'll be organising & encouraging others to lead weekend trips so we can all get out there, learning to ride with luggage, practicing on all types of roads & meeting with like-minded travellers. CHANGE OF VENUE - Noble Falls, Gidgegannup
 

Hi everyone, Serpentine Dam will be closed tomorrow due to fire risk, as are all the Perth Dams!

So the best back-up plan to still have a BBQ is Noble Falls in Gidgegannup. Location details at Gidgegannup Info - Noble Falls Walk Trail, straight off Toodyay Rd opposite the Noble Falls Pub.

Not as interesting a ride, but hopefully still a good get-together! The joy of travel is learning to be flexible when the situation suddenly changes ;-)
