Quote:
Doug Wothke, (RTW on a 1948 Indian and 60's Harley chopper), is the local host for this event - we're VERY grateful to him and his lady Poly, for stepping up and making it happen with a lot of legwork and effort, and an amazing new location off the beaten path. Hope to see you there! So who's going? :mchappy: |
Hi All,
I and my wife will be there... :taz: |
looks like that July is sortet...
1st at the German HUMM like last year as far I can see and than a few days later down south/east, having a rest and more fun at the HUMM Bulgaria before next step down to Turkey... sounds good to me...:thumbup1: is there may a sort of HUMM gang convoy down south in sight from one HUMM to the next ? :scooter: :scooter: :scooter: spooky |

Im looking forward to this, once we get to Europe that is... Poly has been trying to fly for a week now. damn volcano! :censored:
I'm planning to ship me & a bike over soon. If anyone has any questions about the area, or anything I can help with, please let me know. See ya in July! Doug |
Any news? No one posted here for a few weeks...
|
I got to BG yesterday, everything for the HU meeting is planned, we have many people from many countries already registered.
Peter & Kay Forwood, (who have been all over the world (193 countries) on their Harley) are here now, hanging out for a couple days. Tomorrow I head to Serbia, to a bike party my friends put on in Novi Sad, then going to Ukraine for a visit. I'll be back in BG in 2 weeks. Doug |
Hi Doug, I would like to come...
Hi Doug and all other travellers,
I would like to join your Meeting in Bulgaria, but I have enough to do to organise the HU Germany Meeting and then after your HU Meeting the first HU Meeting in Italy, close to Lake Garda... Would be nice if you could show up there too, we picked a great spot! Right now I am in Antofagasta/Chile - riding around for another month... on my way to Peru! See you somewhere - Jens |
If someone can convince my boss to allow me to take off all of June and all of July then he** to the yeah!
It's a shame... my wife's Bulgarian so we were looking forward to this but simply won't make it. We'll be at Ripley and the fall meeting in Germany though so see you there. |
Hi there, I might drop by on friday or saturday. I'm doing a trip to Turkey, Georgia, Armenia in July, August. I start in Belgium on 1 July. I have to be in Edirne on 11 July. I 'm sleeping in Gabrovo on 9 July with a friend. I've seen the the HU meeting is very near to that place so I could pay you all a quick visit.

Hi there,
I'm actually in Brasov / Romania. I will start from here in direction Bulgaria in 2 days. So if anybody is near..... See you at the MotoCamp Cheers Sascha |
Apology for Absence!
Sorry guys and girls, doesn't look like we're going to make it after all, a few weeks ago we finally had enough of the constant rain that was premanently over central and eastern europe so we bolted for the sun in Greece with the idea that we would return for the meet. Unfortunately we adapted to the island life a little too quicly!
:Beach: Hope you have a great weekend! Ride safe, Matt & Kim |
Grant & Susan just arrived, let the festivities begin!
and maybe some sunshine would be nice, but we wanted the brits to feel at home...... :rain: Doug |

Thanks everyone who came to visit us in Bulgaria this weekend. I had a great time, & I hope everyone else did also.
Bulgarian Air's only plane broke, so we had to send Grant & Susan back to London by Izh. They should be back any month now....... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...p/P1210371.jpg |
Hi there,

|
Doug, is that the black Shovelhead you were talking to me about? :biggrin3:
Some friends of mine ride Shovels, but they don't look like that so much... Maybe does it deal with a particular and limited edition? A wild apehanger would fit perfectly, dude!! |
Greetings and thanks!!

Thank You!
Greatings from Germany,
I also want to say many thanks for this nice meeting in Bulgaria!!! I really enjoyed staying in the Moto Camp in Idilevo: great presentation of journeys, lots of interesting people to talk to, good accommodation and compliments to the kitchen. ;-) Analoli was our tourguide one day.The weather and a small problem on his bike, couldn`t stop him to show us some nice streets and spots arround Idilevo. Thank You Anatoli! Good job! After the meating, I stayed there some days more and had later a crash with my bike (only 70km away from idilevo). I am verry happy, because i am not serious injured. Sam from canada has made some pics on his blog: Journal - 2010 At this moment, it was a really good feeling to have friends arround the corner. Many thanks to Polly, Doug and Ivo !!! Because many thinks had to be arranged: talking to the police and making (and checking) some papers, carrying the bike back to idilevo, me to short visit to hospital, talking to the insurance-company, Anita takes care about my back, Andrew brought me later to the airport, and and ... Nice !!! I felt like home. I am sure i will go back to idilevo in the future. May be on my next trip to the black sea (turkey). So ... if you traveling to bulgaria, I can highly recommend the Moto Camp: http://motosapiens.org Best wishes to all of you! See you on the next meeting, when my bike is ready again. |
