For us, traveling to Cambria entails a few hours of a drive down the coast from the San Jose area. We left Thursday and stayed in San Simeon State Park that night (the $20/night sites).
The view down the road doesn't suck. http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0046-L.jpg Beauty is where you find it. This was just behind our campsite. http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0050-L.jpg I must say that Ocean Pines offered a nice spot to camp too. Albeit a bit crowded :D http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/...-camping-L.jpg Some awesome presentations including Roger's discussion of his Alcan trip with his daughter Kit. http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0074-L.jpg All kinds of motorbikes in the field. http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0076-L.jpg Some came from afar. http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0080-L.jpg http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0083-L.jpg http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0086-L.jpg http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0095-L.jpg And some, not so far. http://www.408views.com/Motorcycles/.../IMG0087-L.jpg This was my first event and I have to say, I had a great time. Met a lot of great people. Saw a lot of good presentations and spent a little time at the gate volunteering. Good times! |
