March 12th Herts. Presentation on Oz to UK ride
Hi all
You are all welcome to come to an evening hosted by the Herts TRF (non members welcome - Free entry) to enjoy (?) a presentation by yours truly on a ride that we did from Wollongong to Woolwich. "In February 2011 my wife Kate and I set off on our motorbikes from the town of Wollongong in Australia heading for Woolwich in south east London. Over 5 months we covered about 15,000 miles through 20 countries. We crossed the emptiness of the great Aussie outback and negotiated manic traffic in Bangkok, Delhi and Lahore. We rode the fabled and dangerous Karakoram Highway through the mountains of Pakistan, crossed the 4600 metre Khunjerab pass into China and in Russia, had a BBQ with some Hells Angels. It wasn’t an easy trip to do but we wanted to show that it can be done, by us, by you, by anyone. Be warned though, reading it may inspire you and before you know it you’ll be on an adventure of your own……" See here for details https://www.facebook.com/events/681867768532222/ Hope to see you there! Cheers |
