Iceland -a must see
 

I just want to let all fellow HU riders know that I took my Desert X to Iceland last year in summer and it was absolutely mind blowing. Great ferry ride across and once there the ring road is easily navigated in a couple of weeks. Pristine beauty and easy camping. Blue lagoon is amazing but also check out Vok baths and amazing Guolaug thermal baths (right on Langisandur beach) at Akranes. (Great campsite close by)
I luckily didn't purchase the camping pass on the ferry. I found most sites did not accept it and hence as a value proposition it's a bit questionable. Happy to field any questions anyone might have. (Caveat - I am not on here all that often)

Yes the hot pools are fantastic, from the "upmarket" places like Blue Lagoon and Vök (near Egilsstaðir) to the tiny places which have no facilities (the changing room is Iceland). There are over 100 hot pools around the country; no doubt many more which don't make it onto the official list.
