Having sought inspiration from this site, thought to say "Thank you" and perhaps post updates.

We're shortly departing for 6 weeks in Iceland with a Toyota 78, gold pan and desire to get lost.

some of the highland roads are open now...so enjoy, but dont try the roads that are still closed..its sill tons of wet snow and very very difficult and illegal
