1981 KL250 front wheel removal
Hi,
I know that can sound like a dumb question. How do I remove the front wheel from an KL250 with front drum brake. I know the theory, I had a KLE400 with disk brakes and a KLR600 with drum only on the rear. My problem is that I can't find a way to disconnect the cable from the drum so I ended-up today trying all kind of strange movements to get the drum off the wheel while i was holding the wheel with the other hand, but without success. So I put the wheel back searched old friend google but no luck. Anyway, this bike, as simple as it is, tends to be a pain in the ass when comes to repairing including removing the swing arm to change the chain  if you do the stupid thing to order an original kit with chain, sprocket and wheel and the chain is as the original ... closed. Thanks for any advices |
Ok, problem solved, old school, hammer, brute force and cable cutter are my friends
Now another problem removing the swing-arm, looks like the big axle is stuck and does not want to move from there even with a hammer. Ideas are welcome |

Thank you, I will make some pics tomorrow. I am afraid that the rust inside the swingarm is responsible for it.
