1995 kle500 exhaust carb settings
hi all just after some setting i know there is proberly thousands of people asking the same question but i dont understand the answers basicly just bought a pro duo full system for my bike andits going to need the carbs rejetting just wanting a simple answer to what size jets etc i will need to fit and needle height to save faffing about or spending a fortune on getting it done professionaly as the bike doesent justify that kind of money.thanks craig

Doesn't the exhaust come with any recommendations? If it was me I'd buy the next two sizes up on standard, fit the biggest, then if it's too rich, come down a size, needle position is fine tuning once you have the main jet correct. Have you searched other forums?

cant realy find much nope cannot find anything anywhere apart from topic on here about itwhich doesent realy help because theres to many pages etc to ollow plus they arnet in england so will have different atmospheric pressures causing different jetting to be needed one part says 112 jets are find then the next says 130 jets are used.but these people are drilling air boxes to make there bike faster im doing it because my exhaust are about torush away so stainless ones will prevent this .

If you aren't modifying the airbox or fitting a free flowing air filter and the exhaust manufacturer doesn't recommend bigger main jets you will probably be o.k. keeping it standard. If you can, contact the exhaust manufacturer and seek their advice.

90's kle's didn't use 3 cats in the exhaust so the produro pipe probably won't flow a significant amount more than stock so you should be ok with standard jets worst case would be perhaps 1 size up in jets and a thin shim to raise the needle

ahh cool shaun what jet sizes are in the sandard so there no point in me buying a dyno jet kit and filter jus to be on the safe side.
|
Not sure of the specific jets for a '95 but know there bigger than whats used in an 07 which uses a 92/95 (yes thats a different size in each carb)
|
ahh cool im hoping the exhaust will arrive tomorow.so will see how it goes when i fit it etc.
