KLE 500 rear wheel gap between cush drive and sprocket
2 Attachment(s)
I'm really hoping someone can confirm something fairly straightforward for me, I am in the process of rebuilding my 93 KLE and it's been years since I removed the rear wheel so can't remember whether this is normal or not. The sprocket carrier won't sit flush against the hub, the cush drive appears to be preventing it doing so. The spindle is done up pretty tight and according to the schematic I'm not missing any spacers etc....
Can some tell me if this looks normal? Attachment 22408 Attachment 22409 Thanks Dan |
Take the cush drive rubbers out and see how it sits then for reference.

Thanks Ted, having tried that it still doesn't sit flush but the gap is slightly smaller than with everything installed. I have noticed the axle nut is damaged and won't tighten enough for the cotter pin to align so I've ordered a new one and hopefully it will then tighten sufficiently for the gap close a bit.
