KLE seat . . . advise
hi
i'm currently resoring my kle and want to get the seat recovered, whilst they are doing this i was going to have the foam re done to make it more comfortable. my idea is to extend the shape and width of the foam to the front of the seat to get rid of the dip. would this work? have any of you done this or have a better design? any help gratefully recieved :scooter: |
Yes and yes :)
see my last post on this thread.. I am 6'2" and I have found this a little high so am getting it lowered 20mm and widened at the front more. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ions-new-47887 cheers Tracy |
thanks for the reply, is it alot better then and worth the effort?

I'm sure there must be some Pro seat makers in the UK at this point. Unless you have specific skills in this area I'd leave it to a pro. The type and quality of the foam is important and getting the recovering right matters too.
Seat should be wide where you sit, narrow at the front. In the US we have some great seat makers: Sargent Corbin Rennazco and many more. |
Hi Scotty :)
Yes it is MUCH better, just needs finetuning. Yes I would go to a pro as suggested... someone who has worked on a good number of motorcycle seats preferably so they understand whats involved in bike seat ergonomics. A proper seat transforms the KLE... I REALLY don't know WHAT the chaps at Kwaka were thinking when they made that seat!! Tracy |
