KLE speedo not working

Hi
As of this morning the speedo on my KLE has stopped working although it was fine when i put the bike away last night.
I have checked the cable which is in one piece and has no damage.
Checked the clock with a drill on the wheel end of the cable works fine.
I have checked the speedo drive on the wheel and it spins like it normally would.

I cannot see what is causing this as the 3 main parts are in working order.

Do any of you have any suggestions to fix this

Thanks
ShaunJ

Ok its all fixed The speedo drive was a bit well dodgy.

Inside the drive there is what is basically a washer with 4 lugs on it 2 on the ID 2 on the OD. The two lugs on the OD were bent so they would not engage the slots in the wheel hub causing it to slip and not give a reading on the speedo however there was enough friction to spin the cable when the wheel was turned by hand. All i had to do was take the drive apart and flatten the washer out with a hammer.

The odd thing is i've done over 3000 miles since i last took the front wheel out.

Thanks
Its a bit of a bad design really the circlip that holds the bearing in place is higher than the bottom of the slots in the wheel hub so when you tighten the wheel up the circlip bends the lugs up.

Personally i'm going to check this everytime i have the wheel out.

I know this is an old thread, but saved me! Thanks
