KLR 650 control box, coil etc....
Hi,
A quick question to those of you who know. I will soon be crossing from the USA to Mexico to carry on my trip to Cape Horn. My question is, Is it worth trying to source a spare coil, control boc ect incase the one on the bike fails or should I not worry about it as they are very reliable. I ask as it seems if one did break then that would be it for the bike, however even a second hand one is mega expensive. I would appreciate any advise Regards simon |
The only electrical component I ever had failing on a KLR (besides batteries, globes and fuses) was an alternator.
(8 KLR's, some 500 000 km) Still would not recommend to take a spare alternator :D |
