KLR 650 Suspension and bad handling

Another question about the rear suspension.
After installing the shortened rear shock as advised by Dual Star (This was to fit the C model). The bike is now lower at the rear - obviously. This makes the front lighter and very 'twitchy', especially around corners. Anyone have any ideas on how to get my back end back up to standard height? I'd rather do this than lower the front.
It's been suggested to make a washer of sorts to 'push' the spring(?) up but if anyone has any more adive or tricks, short of buying the standard height shock absorber, I'd be grateful. Corners just aren't as fun (sometimes they're down rights scary) anymore!
Thanks,
Michelle

supension question

Hi , I owned many KLR 650 and for some of my friends we had to lower the front fork to get better result, you may also try to have the pring fork cut and use less oil in the the fork , but my advice will be to lower te front end a bit. you should also use a fender support as the front fender is alway dancing in the wind and this not alway fun at high speed.

hope this help a bit

Got it sorted

Just as a follow up. I shortened the links (opposite of putting a lowering kit on it) by a tad and jacked up the suspension. Works a treat. Now if only I could sort out her other problems.....

So you shortened the rear links? In other words you raised the rear?

I would definately look into a front brace.

What other issues are you having?

Keep us posted.
