Masterlink clip moving
I've put about 1k miles on my chain and I was just checking the clip-style masterlink and noticed there's a bit of play on the clip. I normally use rivet links, but I broke all the pins in my chain tool.

Time to go back to tivet type master link. I am having the same happening with my KLR several years after swapping the worn out original chain and using the clip style. No matter what I do after a while the clip gets loose, moves about and eventually falls off. Amazingly the side plate always stays on , chain holds together. Must be due to all the rubbing along the nulon block chain guide.

That's a disgrace. You'd think when chain manufacturers supply clip links that they would actually work.
