new guy
hi all, i just bought a 1997 klr 250, it runs pretty good but i have a few questions,
1. can a person get an aftermarket repair guide for these? 2. how do i get the seat off?(nevermind, found it) 3. the bike takes me about 9 kicks to get it going, is this normal, what is the proper startup procedure for these, should mention it starts first kick when warmed up. 4. when sitting if i give it a shot of throttle it will hang at about 4000rpm for a few seconds and slowly die down to idle speed at about 900 rpm, is this a known problem? thanks in advance for any help... huck |
Klr 250 running poorly
What continent or planet do you live on? It helps to be able to give advice to know if you are in central africa or downtown london. The bike needs service. Do a complete service, valve adjust etc. and then do a complete carb clean and replace any cracked or leaking parts like carb to head carb mount. If you are on the internet do a search for kawasaki manuals or if you are inthe USA some public libraries have copies you can copy out the pertinent pages. Great bike the KLR250
