regina or D.I.D on a kle?
does anyone have any experience with regina chain sets? im planning to ride through afrika on my Kawasaki Kle 500 (leaving september) . and want to fit a new chain set. i was planning to use D.I.D (i have no expersience with them, but loads of people mention them) but my dealer with whom i have good experiences claims that the new regina chains:
REGINA CHAIN - Families are better than D.I.D. anyone have any experience with regina? |

I don't know what to say :innocent: I had a DID on my kle and it was the original chain of the bike. Now I have Regina ..... works fine. Here in Romania opinions are splited some voices say thet DID is the best because is japan made and other say that Regina is the best. From my little experience even if you put a new chain kit is good to have at least one spare because you don't know when you get a broken chain. I choose regina because of it's price - was lower than a DID and at that time I couldn't afford to buy a DID and leaving bike at home wasn't an option :cool4: Both turned to be fine and resistant in time and action of sand, mud, dust but with a proper lubrication and permanent cleaning. Maybe someone could enlight me! I will go for a DID on my next chain kit. Ride safe! :mchappy: |
if i remember corectly you do a lot of offroading with you kle? so the regina chain is also good for that?

I was talking about o-ring chains as they are as stock on KLE's. X-ring is better but I never think change from o-ring to x-ring. @luuk - I don't use off-road too much since my accident last summer because my bike isn't 100% fixed so with Regina it was more 90% roads - even if some roads are like off-roads - so I manage to lose some part of bike on that roads. :censored: As I said on my first reply next time I will go for a DID. But DID or not DID for that distance is better to have a spare Kit with you for your comfort and also some other important parts for a safe riding. Good luck!!!! |
thanks for the tip guys. i won't take chances and get a DID chain set
